Team LiDron
University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez

Structure
Team LiDron is divided in three smaller groups, each tasked with the design and implementation of a specific and important component of the project. These components are the System Architecture, the LiDAR sensors and the Obstacle-Avoidance Camera. Below is a rundown of each of the groups.

System Architecture Team
The System Architecture team is tasked with establishing the development design of the drone's components, as well as measuring power consumption between all components to optimize flight time and goal completion.
LiDAR Sensors Team
The LiDAR Sensors group is tasked in managing the implementation of the LiDAR sensors into the architecture of the drone and utilize the data read by the sensors to measure the drone's orientation, positioning and distance as it navigates to the desired location.

Obstacle-Avoidance Team
The Obstacle-Avoidance and Flight Planning group is tasked in designing a system capable of detecting, recognizing, and avoiding obstacles that may pose a threat to the safety of the UAV, as well as creating simulations in order to test the efficiency of the system.
